Day 1

It was a fun start to camp!  After goodbye hugs & kisses with the families, we played games to help learn each other's names and personalities.  Our first lesson was a GPS-assisted scavenger hunt that taught us about the layout of campus. Next we learned about the different sizescales in the Universe and then discussed possible reasons why we may ultimately want to leave Earth and colonize a planet in another solar system.  The night finished with each core group of six campers creating and rehearsing a skit to be given on Day 2 to give the story behind our eventual "Journey to the Stars".
